I am a Quantitative Ecologist with an Earth Science background, bringing a paleo perspective to neo-environmental issues.

My work operates on every scale: from muddy boots coring bogs that hold the legacy of past ecosystems, to piloting drones for high-res aerial surveys, and analyzing satellite imagery that brings ground data to scale.

Beyond research, I specialize in engineering end-to-end monitoring systems that apply modern technology to make environmental conservation cost-effective (and more fun). Welcome to my personal library: home to my digital laboratory (North Star Labs), my philosophy (Ecosystems Explains), and the other things I find along the way (Gallery).
